Christ Church Facilities - the Parish Hall and School Room

Both the Parish Hall (photos to the Right) and the School Room (below Left) are used by various community groups, either on a once-off or on-going basis. Groups use the facilities for meetings, for concerts and award nights, as a large dining space, or as a rehearsal space. The Hall is a large space, with a raised stage at the eastern end, whereas the Schoolroom is more suited to smaller gatherings or meals. Both facilities have multiple tables and ample chairs for dining or meeting use. The Hall is fully airconditioned and includes a fully equipped commercial kitchen, whilst the Schoolroom a small kitchenette. Enquiries about hirng the facilities are always welcome, and our rates are very reasonable.

At the eastern end of the Parish Hall are both male and female toilets, accessible from outside the Hall ie. from the Church grounds only, and these are also open for use by members of the public. Inside the main church building itself there are unisex (male and female) toilets (including fully a accessible toilet for wheelchair users) located in the North Vestry. These toilet facilities include space for baby changing, and are open whenever the church building itself is in use.

The Parish Hall main door (on the south side of the Hall) has full ramp access from the parish grounds, which provides full wheelchair access to both the Hall itself and the attached kitchen area. The Church itself is also fully accessible via the South porch (on the McKillop Street side of the Church) and there is reserved parking for carers etc. alongside the Church building.

There is CAR PARKING inside the Church grounds (entry from McKillop Street) for ALL Sunday services, and throughout weekends, but parking during the week is very limited as almost all spaces are leased out. Parking is also available in nearby streets, but check local signs as in most instances time limits apply, including at weekends. When hiring any Christ Church facilities, enquire about parking in the grounds too - in many instances, especially at weekends or after hours, this will be possible.
